Alan started out at a young age racing go-karts, and in 2002 he started racing
Wing Modifieds. In 2004, the Ark-La-Tex Wing Modified Association started up
giving racers in the Tri-state area a series to compete in. The ALTWM Series is
one of the largest traveling racing series in the Ark-La-Tex area. In the first three
seasons Alan was the Points Champion Reserve (2nd place in points). In 2007
although he did not compete in the points standings he did manage to have some
accomplishments. That year he was the ALTWM Summer Shootout Champion,
he also received the Hard Charger award for that same race. This makes him the
only racer to receive a feature win and the hard charger award for a single race.
In 2007 he also received the Overall Hard Charger Award for that points season.
In 2008 he became the Overall ALTWM Points Champion for the first time. In
2009 after a rocky start he finished as the Points Champion reserve for the 4th
year. Although the year did not turn out like he hoped he did walk away with 3
feature wins which included the Dustin Duncan Memorial Race at Texas Dirt
Motorplex and the Louisiana State Dirt Track Championship at Boothill
speedway. He also placed 2nd in the Ark-La-Tex Speedway Championship and
overall 2nd place in the La-Tx Shootout. Alan has won at many of the race tracks
he has raced at which include, Boothill Speedway, Champion Park Speedway,
Ark-La-Tex Speedway, Sabine Motor Speedway, Texas Dirt Motorplex,
Farmerville Dixie Speedway, Thundervalley Speedway, and 67 Texarkana
Speedway.
